Hallows Stud

Hallows Snapdragon (Boris) is our homebred stallion by Springbourne Caraway out of our foundation mare Flydon Rhosyn.

Boris has a fantastic showing record in hand and under saddle, including Junior Male Champion at the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Centenary Show 2002.

Boris has covered Flydon Lavant and Charmfield Araminta in 2008.

Flydon Henri Ap Pip x Flydon Crackling Rosie

Rhosyn was our foundation mare, although we didn’t breed every year she always gave us nice foals.  Bred by the Flydon Stud she was by the very well known stallion Flydon Henri Ap Pip out of Flydon Crackling Rosie.

Sadly Rhosyn was put to sleep in October 2007

Lavant joined the Hallows Stud in June 2007, she is a half sister to our late foundation mare Flydon Rhosyn.

Lavant was shown three times last year and was 3rd Northleach, 3rd SEWPCA Medal Show and 6th HCWPCA Medal Show.

2008

On her first show for 2008 Lavant was 1st Barren Mare at SEWPCA Medal Show.

Lavant has been covered by Boris for 2009.

Pipsqueak has turned in to a fantastic show mare with many wins and championships including a WPCS Bronze Medal, 1st and Champion PUK Confined Novice Winter Championships 2008 and 1st and Reserve Champion NPS Home Produced M&M 2007.

Pip has been covered by Flydon Wyn for 2009

Stormin Norman has been to two shows as a foal and was 2nd at SEWPCA and 1st at HCWPCA.

Norman was gelded in 2007 and will be kept and shown in hand for the next few years.

Springbourne Envoy x Flydon Lavant

Whilst visiting the Oldacres Stud to look at Lavant, Terry spotted Lilli in the field and we were offered her as well (Gordon was going to keep the filly foal that Lavant had at foot) so Lilli joined the stud in September 2007.

Shown twice in 2007 gaining a 4th and 2nd at HCWPCA show, Lilli was left to mature over the winter.

2008

Lilli was 3rd at HCWPCA in hand and Ridden show and 2nd in a strong 2 & 3 year old class at SEWPCA Medal Show.

Blanche Gwillym x Flydon Lavant

We showed Lulu last year as a foal at foot for Gordon Nicholls (Oldacres Stud).  She went to three shows getting a 2nd at SEWPCA Medal Show, 3rd at HCWPCA Medal Show and 1st at Northleach.

In 2008 Gordon let us purchase Lulu and we look forward to showing her in yearling classes this year.
